This 3-hour tour keeps things personal with small groups, local expert guides, and a pace that lets you actually take it all in. Start the day with a scenic drive along the Tongass Narrows, as our guides share the history and character of Ketchikan before heading deep into the Tongass National Forest, the largest temperate rainforest in the world.
From there, you’ll hit the trail beneath towering spruce, cedar, and hemlock, past gentle creeks and waterfall views your guide knows by heart. The Lunch Creek trail is a well-maintained gravel trail, making it an approachable hike for families and casual hikers. Breathtaking views, flora and fauna abound – and during salmon season, you might spot spawning salmon in the wild!
Before returning to the ship, you’ll have an opportunity to walk among some of the most striking totems in Southeast Alaska, explore a traditional clan house, and hear the real stories behind these incredible works of art — the culture, the symbolism, and the people who carved them.
Founded and run by locals, Wild Wolf Tours is built around authentic experiences and worry-free timing so you’re always back to your ship on time.
